Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born on 16 March, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She has been seen on QI, with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known by the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. Bea's professional career started in the year 2011 when she began her career as a comic after she appeared in small roles in Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. In 2012, she started to appear regularly on sketch and sitcoms. Following her win in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel show. In 2016, and in 2017, she was the team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. The only ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was an equine veterinarian who committed suicide at the age of three. Bea was three years old. She did not know the cause of his death until she was 13. Bea was her stage name. Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience dealing with suicide. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) was raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a teacher and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. The family was obsessed with racing as well as horses. Bea had a job as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want a racing career. Instead she loved the performing arts.
