Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother is a caucasian American. In 2010, James graduated from Sanderson High School. Then the following year, he attended Wake Forest University in order to obtain a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics. James became famous when he became a reality television star in The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked to be the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The series premiered in 2021. James was a perfect fit for the role because He is attractive, well-rounded and tall and has a great sense of humorous. Rachael Krukconnell turned into his love interest at the end of season. In 2021, he joined forces with the well-known dancer Arnold to take part in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th.
